Treating Problem AcneStephanie is a 19-year old college sophomore at Pace University in Westchester, New York Sought treatment for:Stephanie has consulted with multiple dermatologists. Getting rid of scars, as well as identifying skin problems associated with moderate to severe acne, is a priority for Stephanie. She has been on and off antibiotics, prescribed skin creams and multiple over-the-counter acne preparations. None have shown satisfactory improvement. She is reluctant to take Accutane due to potential side effects. Although she is doing well in school, she avoids social situations and feels she is missing out on all that college has to offer. Recommended approach:
TreatmentStephanie learned about Isolaz Photopneumatic treatments on the Internet and was referred to New Horizons Med Spa from the Aesthera website. After two of the four recommended deep pore purification light treatments with the Isolaz, she noticed significant improvement. Further motivated by these enhancements, Stephanie agreed to begin a daily topical Clenziderm regimen of solubilized absorbable benzylperoxide. After two more light treatments, the results were transformative. The pustular and inflammatory acne was markedly diminished, with only an occasional pimple, and some old acne scars remaining. Results and maintenanceStephanie no longer feels self conscious and recently began dating. She has followed our advice and returns to the spa for periodic maintenance, including Isolaz treatments and refills of Clenziderm. Despite her renewed social life, Stephanie’s grades have not suffered |
